It is under 2 weeks now before Thing 2, or as the Guyser says, "Baby Kicking" makes its appearance. I keep getting asked if I am ready. How do you get ready with a 2.5 year old??? We have diapers, a Moses Basket, a crib, a car seat..... we are just going to have to wing the rest! With the first, you have nothing else to do BUT prepare.... with this one, oh man, I can't keep up! I have reached the really uncomfortable stage. Sleep isn't good. The floor is WAY too far down there if I need to pick something up... I sit and ponder, "How badly do I REALLY need that from the floor??" On the upside, my weight gain has been less than 20 pounds so far. How? By having a ginormous 2.5 year old that has two speeds: asleep and full throttle! My dad was here this weekend. That was SO nice. He said, "Oh Honey, I think you are going to be BUSY!!" To which I replied, "Yes... somedays I am afraid.... very afraid...." More later!
It is 6am. I have been awake since 4:20. I got up to go to the bathroom, and upon returning to bed, the baby decided to have a nice long bought of hiccups. This was followed by Uterine Dance Party.....and some nice pregnancy insomnia. So here I am. Give it another hour and I will be exhausted and then the Guyser should be up for the morning! Yeah!
I am still around. Been feeling overwhelmed and pregnant, which means tired, irritable, and uncomfortable. My advice to people: Have #2 child BEFORE #1 child is two years old, or wait until they are four!!!! Guyser has been very TWO lately... that has been extremely trying. I guess I should feel lucky I got through the first half of his 2nd year of life without the "2's" rearing its ugly head, but now it is in full swing. His ears don't work and he knows only one word: 'NO!' I just don't have the energy to chase him either, or bend over and peel his temper-tantrum-throwing-noodle-like body off the floor. So there it is.... only 3 weeks left before my sleep is even more minimal than it is now!!! Hooray!..... but at least I will be able to reach my feet then....
