Weird.

Weather here in corn country is strange. The other night I was giving the Guyser a bath and heard all this noise outside. I thought "What the hell???? Are we finally under attack from Minnesota???" Anyway, it was thunder!!! It is the end of November! Being from the land of the great white north of Nodak, this is new to me. Again, this morning it is raining and thundering.... weird.....and dreary.... and depressing.....

Stay tuned... big news coming soon!

Post Turkey Day news

My Dad came down for Thanksgiving. It was SO nice to have him visit. I made turkey (I cheated and put it in the crockpot, but it was very good) "stevies' favorite" sweet potatoes and I don't remember what else. Dad brought lefse which was very good, and the hubby brought his appetitite. It was a very relaxing day. Yesterday I showed Dad around a bit, and he left to stay the night in Fargo with my sister. The Guyser had fallen asleep and so he was not awake when Dad left. When he woke up, he waked around saying, "Boppa!! Where ARE you??" "Boppa!?" It made me cry. I forget how far away everyone is, until they come and then leave. I will be able to see all my siblings and my Dad in less than a month, though, so that makes me a bit less sad. I hope you all had a happy Thanksgiving!

Just when I think I have nothing to blog....

The Guyser loves cars, trains and tractors. He has lots of tractors, and HAD a handfull of Matchbox cars. Slowly they have disappeared. Today I watched two disappear... into the back of the speaker. Only he would discover there is a hole back there! So, I knew I had to retrieve those 2 cars. On a hunch, I checked the matching speaker, and lo and behold, a third car! (1st picture.) Following the lead, I dug out the subwoofer from behind the TV, which is stuck way back in the corner. Wouldn't you know, I found his Audi from Auntie Mamie! (2nd picture) That one has been gone for a good couple months. The funny thing about the subwoofer was I couldn't unscrew the back, and almost got my hand stuck in the speaker... that would have been interesting! Well, I am out of speakers to check and still am missing a Mini Cooper, an orange Charger, and a blue and orange racecar... ideas anyone??? Life's never dull with a Guyser!!!

Not Much

I know I haven't posted in a while. I have been busy being on Guyser Patrol and the Hubby has been on call what seems like every other night, so it has been hectic around here. My website is up and running and I am excited. My webmaster did a fabulous job! The Hubby is heading to the farm tomorrow. I yet haven't decided if I am going or not. 8 hours in the car... ugh....

It just me? Have I become that unorganized? But WHY does it seem like the two men in my life can mess the house up 3x faster than I can get it cleaned???? The hubby brings home at least 2 dead trees worth of paper a week, and the Guyser, well, he is 2. We don't have a dishwasher so that task is NEVER ending....ugh.....

My latest task has been keeping a 2 year old in his room to sleep. We have never had problems up to this point with sleep. Then he figured out how to scale his gate. Let the problems begin!! I would LOVE any advice here... its just a big game! He gets out, we put him back, he gets out, we put him back..... I am thinking chain link and razor wire.........

ugh!

Check it Out!

Here is my site!

Lately

Lately, when it comes to parenting the Guyser, I feel busier than a one legged cat trying to cover a turd on a frozen pond.
Yep. Thats how I feel.

Suuuuure she didn't know....

This is in response to this article on MSNBC. Ok, so maybe a woman doesn't have cravings or morning sickness. I didn't with the Guyser, but HOW can a woman not wonder what is going on when she is getting an elbow under her ribcage or a foot into her bladder? Not to mention a 7 pound human being turning completely around inside her belly.....sure she didn't know...yeah.....

The wonderful thing about Tiggers....

Here is the big Guyser on Halloween.... it took some coaxing to get him into the costume, but he eventually agreed, and quickly caught onto the trick or treating. He thought it was pretty cool that all you have to do is pound on peoples' doors and they give you "nandy!"
